Things to look for

As a realtor, I see tons of new couples looking for home with unrealistic expectations. Some people seem to think they can find the biggest house in the best neighborhood that needs a few minor cosmetic changes and pay half of the market worth for it. It just doesn’t happen, people! There are a few things I make sure my clients look for when searching for a new home and some of them may surprise you.

The first requirement is in-house laundry. There’s nothing worse than having to drag your clothes to a laundromat. The second is some sort of garage facility as winters here can be quite brutal. People underestimate how much time they can spend scraping their windows! Another thin! g I tell people to look into is utilities. Who is their water provider? Cable? Do they have access to the Clearwirelessinternet4g connection in the area? All of these things will affect their quality of life. The last thing I tell my clients is to really test the feel of a house. It doesn’t matter how many square feet it is if it doesn’t feel like home!
